ABOUT THE COLLECTION
TURQUOISE
Turquoise has long been revered in many cultures, and is said to bring good fortune, health, and protection from evil. It is a ceremonial gem for many Native American tribes who use it in jewelry and amulets. It was used ritually by shamans to connect with the spirit of the sky.
LAPIS
Lapis was a prized stone in ancient Egypt, where pharaohs wore it as a symbol of power and immortality, as it was said to contain the soul of gods. The metaphysical legends of Lapis are some of the oldest in the world, and it is said to help one towards spiritual attainment and inner knowing.
OPAL
Most cultures have historically considered opal to be the luckiest of stones because it contains the colors of all the other gemstones, therefore imbuing it with all of their metaphysical properties. The ancient Greeks believed that opals gave its wearer the power of prophecy, and Europeans have considered it a stone of hope and truth.
MALACHITE
Ancient Egypt and Greece were among the first cultures to use malachite for adornment as early as 4,000 BC. It was used as a talisman against evil and has also been believed to attract wealth, having been worn by traders to help them transact profitable business deals.
STONE INLAY
Inlay is one of the oldest techniques in making decorative jewelry, objects, and architecture. It involves the precision cutting of gemstones before placing them within intricate settings or channels. This skill allows artisans to create detailed color and patterns across the surface of an object.
